The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon® is a collegiate competition, made up of 10 Contests, that challenges student teams to design and build highly efficient and innovative buildings powered by renewable energy.
• If a team includes any non-U.S. citizens who want to participate in-person at Design Challenge Weekend held on the NREL campus, each affected person must submit a Foreign National Data Card (FNDC).
• If you have questions about registration or the competition, email SDdesign@nrel.gov.
In order to ensure that you receive emails from the competition, please add SDdesign@nrel.gov to your address book.
If a team includes any non-U.S. citizens who wish to participate in-person at the competition event held April 17-18, 2020, on the NREL campus, each non-U.S. citizen must submit a Foreign National Data Card (FNDC).
As you enter team members, indicate their country of birth and/or country of citizenship (list both if different) and that team member will be sent the appropriate FNDC, and information on the deadline for submitting their FNDC. Even if you are unsure of which team members will be attending the competition event on NREL’s campus, they should still go ahead submit an FNDC.
